Daubert Chemical Website Restructure
Focus: Responsive UX/UI design, information architecture
Challenge: With an outdated design, a large product catalog, and a long list of functional requirements, Daubert Chemical challenged Celtic Chicago to create an intuitive site that led to more leads, task completions, and less stress on site visitors.
Outcome
Information Architecture: Restructured the website's information architecture to streamline navigation and improve discoverability of products and content. This included a 500+ product catalog.
Wireframing and Prototyping: Developed wireframes and interactive prototypes to visualize design concepts and gather feedback from stakeholders and end-users.
Wireframes were created to dictate the main user flow. Included multiple screen sizes and functionalities.
A style guide was created obtain buy-in from key stakeholders early in the design process.
Navigation was simplified. The four main product categories are displayed prominently in the menu bar, while secondary menu options are hidden in the hamburger menu.
Because of the number of audiences Daubert Chemical needed to cater to (from future and current customers, researchers, and regulatory), this product display table was created to meet the needs of a wide user base. Back-end functionalities were also implemented to ease the workload of future content editors.
